COLLEGEVILLE PA – Redner’s Warehouse Markets recalled two ice cream novelty products Friday morning (Jan. 30, 2009) in light of the salmonella scare, the Easton (PA) Express-Times reported.

The Reading-based grocery store chain, which operates a store in The Marketplace at Route 29 and Second Avenue, voluntarily recalled its Redner’s-brand Sundae Cones (UPC 1598410417) and Round Top Vanilla Cones (UPC 1598404006). No illnesses have been reported in connection with either product. All other Redner’s ice cream products are considered safe for continued sale and consumption, the company said.

The announcement follows a day after the federal Food and Drug Administration and Peanut Corporation of America expanded a list of potentially-contaminated products.

Consumers who have purchased anything covered by Redner’s recall were urged to return the product to their local Redner’s store for a full refund. For more information, call 610-926-3700.
