LIMERICK PA – Thirty-four properties in Limerick (PA) Township and Royersford (PA) Borough, with a combined value of more than $10.4 million, were listed for sale during February 2009, according to a report posted Wednesday (March 4, 2009) on the ActiveRain blog of Collegeville real estate agent Glen Russell. The average price of a listed property, he added, was $307,350.

While dozens of owners wanted to sell during the month, it appears fewer were actually successful. Russell reports that 11 properties in the same area changed hands, with a total value of more than $2.5 million. The sale of another eight were pending. Overall, listings were on the market for an average of 120 days before selling or being removed from availability, Russell noted. The average price of a sold property was $233,684.

Russell did not cite the source of his statistics, and they were not independently verified by The Limerick Post.

Although “February is said to be one of the slowest months of the year in the real estate business,” Russell wrote, “it seems most (real estate) agents in Limerick or Royersford … are doing well!”
