Asking Limerick for additional signs.

LIMERICK PA – Starbucks Coffee Company of King of Prussia PA wants to add a second sign to a side of its store at 33 W. Ridge Pike that does not face the street, and so is applying to the township Zoning Hearing Board for a variance. The board will conduct a hearing on the matter March 25 (2009; Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 646 W. Ridge Pike.

The store is located in the Limerick Shopping Center on property zoned as Highway Commercial. The franchise also wants permission to place a fifth panel on its existing free-standing sign on the property.

The hearing was most recently announced in a legal notice published Saturday (March 14, 2009) in The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper.

  • Also during its March 25 meeting, the board is scheduled to hold a separate hearing on variances requested to improve a single-family home at 3433 Pruss Hill Rd., Limerick PA. Construction on the property would occur on a lot of non-conforming size with setbacks that would not meet requirements of the area’s R1 zoning.
