POTTSTOWN PA – Community Health and Dental Care (CHDC), a non-profit clinic at 11 Robinson St. that provides primary medical and dental care to a broad service area in western Montgomery County, has received a $25,000 contribution to its founders’ fund-raising campaign from Limerick PA-based Exelon Nuclear, the company announced Wednesday (April 8, 2009).

The gift will be used to buy a Panorex machine that allows the dental staff to do full-mouth x-rays, explained CHDC Vice President Mary Ann Dailey, PhD, RN. The machine will be named for Exelon Nuclear, and CHDC also will place a star in the company’s name in the clinic lobby with those of other founders.

“The Pottstown area is lucky to have a resource like Community Health and Dental Care,” said Limerick Generating Station Site Vice President Chris Mudrick, “and we are proud to support an organization that cares for our community.”

New patients are being accepted at CHDC, which opened last October. It offers pediatric and family medical services, and preventive and restorative dental care, to patients with and without insurance, and patients who are under-insured. To make a medical appointment, call 610-326-9460; for dental appointments, call 610-326-7405.
