LIMERICK PA – Exelon Nuclear employees recently donated $5,000 to the Philadelphia Police Survivor’s Fund of the Fraternal Order of Police, the company has announced. Members of the maintenance department at Exelon’s Limerick Generating Station held several fund-raising luncheons to collect money and heighten awareness of the fund’s need.

The fund provides assistance to families of fallen or wounded officers by helping with household needs of officers who suffered a life-altering injury, and by helping families through the grieving process.

“We appreciate all the assistance we have received from everyone throughout the Delaware Valley during tough times,” said Steven J. Weiler of the FOP. “The community, including Exelon and its employees, has clearly demonstrated their support of our fallen officers and their families.”
