LIMERICK PA – Teleflex Power Systems, a division of Limerick-based Teleflex Inc., sold a compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system to a Venezuelan buyer as part of a government-driven switch to power cars with CNG, it said in a press release issued Tuesday (May 5, 2009).

Teleflex supplies fuel systems for four-, six- and eight-cylinder light duty engines, the company said, and during the past year had worked as one of Venezuela’s preferred supplies in the alternative fuel market. CNG offers the Latin American nation’s residents both economic and environmental advantages, Teleflex Power Systems’ President Kam Mofid said.

“We have been very supportive of this government program, and are pleased to learn our efforts paid dividends,” Mofid added.
