VALLEY FORGE PA – The forests and fields that once were the site of George Washington’s bitter winter encampment of 1777-’78 today serve tens of thousands of visitors as a recreational area. That proves history and fun do mix well, the Valley Forge Convention and Visitors’ Bureau contends, in the latest video posted to its YouTube account.

The video promotes the Montgomery County (PA) park as a place to hike, bike, jog, run, fly fish and more.

The bureau’s task as a private, non-profit membership sales and marketing organization is to aggressively promote the Valley Forge PA area and Montgomery County. It’s been doing that  on YouTube since last August, using slickly and professionally produced videography to introduce the county to outsiders.
