ROYERSFORD PA – Township Line Road in Royersford, between Linfield-Trappe and Buckhalter roads straddling Limerick and Upper Providence (PA) townships, will be closed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) beginning March 16 (2010; Tuesday) for road reconstruction to accommodate the new Pope John Paul II High School, PennDOT said Wednesday (March 3).

The round-the-clock closure probably won’t end until June 18 (2010), according to representatives for PennDOT’s District 6 offices in King of Prussia PA. Contractors for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will complete the reconstruction work under a PennDOT highway occupancy permit.

During construction, Township Line Road through-traffic will be detoured over Lewis Road and Ridge Pike. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. PennDOT advised motorists to expect delays when traveling through the area.
