PHOENIXVILLE PA – Dozens of volunteers from the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville PA assembled Saturday (March 27, 2010) in the basement of the church, 145 Main St., to help conduct a semi-annual flea market sale that raises funds for local community assistance.

Proceeds from the sale, held annually in the spring and fall, benefit the church People-To-People effort, according to volunteer Kate Hetzel (see the accompanying 01m:20s video, above). People-To-People offers financial assistance for struggling local individuals and families, both directly and through other Phoenixville organizations, as well as to national and worldwide organizations, such as those helping disaster victims in Haiti and Chile.

Several hundred buyers turned out on the brightly sunny day, searching for bargains while helping the cause.
