One example of Benjamin's artistry.

COLLEGEVILLE PA – Artist Siona Benjamin, <> a painter originally from Bombay who now lives in the U.S., will present an artist’s talk and slide show of her work next Tuesday (April 20, 2010)  at 7 p.m. in Room 102 of Olin Hall on the college campus, Main Street, Collegeville PA.

Benjamin’s work reflects her Jewish upbringing in predominantly Hindu and Muslim India. In her paintings, she combines the imagery of her past with the role she plays in America today, making a mosaic inspired by both Indian miniature paintings and Jewish and Christian illuminated manuscripts.

This event is sponsored by Ursinus Hillel and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
