LIMERICK PA – Bill Maguire, the former operational head of Exelon Nuclear‘s Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in Pennsylvania, was promoted Thursday (April 22, 2010) to a similar position – site vice president – of the company’s Limerick Generating Station (LGS). He succeeds Chris Mudrick, who has been named Exelon’s vice president for Mid-Atlantic operations.

Before taking the top role at Peach Bottom in June 2008, Maguire joined Exelon Nuclear in February 2008 as vice president for Mid-Atlantic operations from Entergy, where he served as plant manager at the Vermont Yankee nuclear generating facility. Maguire, who has more than 20 years of nuclear energy experience, began his career at Limerick as a system engineer and earned a senior reactor operator license there.

Maguire will have overall responsibility for LGS operations. He “brings a wealth of diversified experience to Limerick,” said Joe Grimes, senior vice president for Mid-Atlantic operations.
