COLLEGEVILLE PA – Youths between the ages of 8 and 13 who are interested in creating pottery may be interested in two different ceramics camps that will be held during July by Montgomery County Cooperative Extension.

The first, called “Nature and Art Through Ceramics,” will be held July 6-8 daily from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and the second, “Ceramics Safari Camp,” is scheduled for July 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; both at the Montgomery County 4-H Center, Route 113, Creamery PA, a mile south of Route 73 near Skippack PA.

Participants in either camp will explore a variety of painting techniques, learn basic ceramics, and decorate personal projects. The cost for “Nature and Art Through Ceramics” is $49 per person; for “Ceramics Safari Camp,” $32 per person. Campers must provide their own lunches. Enrollment is limited; early reservations are suggested. Additional materials will be sent to those who register.
